Why did you create LA Avenue.com? To give people all over the world a chance to see Los Angeles. Since my job takes me to so many places in Los Angeles and surrounding areas, I decided to install a cam in my vehicle to share L.A. with everyone.

What's with the cam in your vehicle? To me, this is the best way to show everyone what L.A. is all about. You get to see the streets, the buildings and the diverse people that make up L.A.

Where is the camera located? On the driver's side of my service vehicle. I drive a cargo van, and the cam is in front of me on the dashboard. Having it placed there enables you to see L.A. from my point of view.

Are you really live? Yes. Beneath the cam image, you can see if the cam is currently live or if a rebroadcast is being sent.

Why are you only live Monday thru Friday from 9 to 6? My regular work hours are 6am to 7pm, or later, much later, six or seven days per week, atdifferent times, the cam is live until 7pm. I'd leave it on longer, but the sun goes down, When it's dark, the cam doesn't work as well  because of low light. During summertime, I'll let cam run longer because of more available daylight. I do try to bring you live images on weekends whenever possible.

Why does the site says it's live, yet the image doesn't
change?
Since I am sending the images using a wireless connection this happens while I am traveling from city to city I reach areas where I get no signal at all and the connection drops.

Why are you parked in the same place for so long? Usually, I'm at a job site on a service call, which can run anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours. At times I'll leave the cam running. Hopefully, something interesting might happen while the vehicle is parked.

What type of equipment do you use? I have a cam, a laptop computer and a wireless modem which allows me to connect to the Internet. The cam software is programmed to capture a new image every 20 seconds.

Are you getting paid to do this? No, I'm not. It's all for fun, because I want people the world over to have a chance to view the unique and famous city of Los Angeles.

Can you email me some photos? Of course. It might take about a month to e-mail the pictures, and there is a maximum of three pictures per e-mail or person. I almost forgot to mention -- if you use these pictures other than for your personal use, please give credit to: LAavenue.com. How does that sound? Are you cool with that?
