This block long cable car system carried passengers up and down Bunker Hill connecting Hill and Olive streets between 1901 and 1969. One car, the Olivet, would descend while the other, the Sinai, ascended. The beloved structure was dismantled for development of the area to the horror of preservationist but was refurbished and relocated adjacent to the California Plaza in 1995.
