Founded in
the 1920's by Alphonzo E. Bell. Bel Air is a purely residential
neighborhood with pretzel-shaped streets that can be confusing to
nonresidents, It is a favorite hideaway of stars, whose homes are
generally out of sight behind security gates and heavy foliage.
