South Figueroa Street Built in 1923, the coliseum was the major venue for the 1984 Olympics, as it was for the 1932 Games. The stadium has reopened after an extensive remodeling to repair damage caused by the 1994 earthquake in Northridge. A 40-minute tour of the press conference room, locker rooms, and press boxes gives a history of the stadium.
