The Los Angeles Zoo is located in the heart  of  the  nation’s second-largest city. Each year 1.4 million visitors pass through the gates to view a collection of more than 1,200 animals from around the world. HOURS Open daily 10 a.m to 5 p.m. except December 25. Notes: The Los Angeles Zoo starts putting animals in for the night at 4 p.m. during normal hours and 5 p.m. during summer hours. Admission ceases ticket sales one hour prior to closing time ADMISSION PRICES Adults: $8.25 Children (2 to 12): $3.25 Senior Citizens (65 and older): $5.25 Children (under 2): Free (Prices subject to change)
